Located in the outskirts of Trarbach, the Moseltor hotel is housed in a historical building from 1838. The building is a masterpiece of fieldstone masonry. Inside guests will admire a charming combination of new construction with antique elements from the original building. The hotel is run by the Bauer family that guarantees a homely atmosphere and personalized service.
The hotel is only within a 15 minute drive to the airport.
In the hotel’s restaurant the light cuisine is prepared by Chef Ruth Bauer, whose reputation has spread to such a degree that many people come here for a ''gastronomic weekend''. The Restaurant ''BAUER''S'' is small but cosy. It has only 8 tables.

The Hotel features 9 rooms and 1 suite. Some rooms open to a splendid view of the Moselle river.

Location

The magnificent landscapes of the Moselle
With a beautiful view on the flowing Moselle, the wine gardens of Riesling and the close Hunsrück forest, the hotel Moseltor is the ideal location to discover the region surrounding the Moselle. Traben-Trarbach is a historic village, which was the second largest wine-trading city in the Middle Ages behind Bordeaux. Accordingly, the hotel Moseltor is surrounded by a multitude of historic buildings. But you will also be delighted, if you are a nature-lover: The fascinating landscapes of the Hunsrück and along the river can easily be reached. The same applies to the airport Frankfurt/Hahn (20 min by car), making the trip to the romantic hotel comfortable from every part of the world.

Driving directions:

From the North:
From Cologne, take the A61 motorway and exit at "Mendig, exit n.34". Straight on B262 road until you reach the A48/A1 Gateway, direction "Trier". Take A1 motorway, and exit at "Wittlich /Traben-Trarbach". Take the B50 road, following Ürzig direction. Then take B53 road, following "Cochem" direction until you reach Traben-Trarbach.

From the South or Hahn airport:
From Frankfurt, take the A61 motorway and exit at "Rheinböllen". Then take B50 road, following "Hahn airport/Trier" direction. Overtake the Hahn airport, turn right into B362 road. Exit at "Traben-Trarbach". After 11 km you will reach Trarbach. Moseltor Hotel is located at the end of the road on your right.
